Wolfeden Mailing Lists
Wolfeden.Org
hosts the local Austin-928 mailing list.
Due to lack of interest, Texas-928 and DFW-928 have been removed.
Discussions vary from technical how-tos to good local sources for parts
and services to organizing group events.
Topics of general 928 interest should be directed to the 928 mailing
list at
www.rennlist.com.
Currently, subscription is open to anyone interested.
Administrivia
Majordomo
These are
Majordomo
mailing lists.
To subscribe, please send the text subscribe austin-928
(or whichever list interests you)
in the body of an email message to
majordomo@wolfeden.org.
Do not put your subscription request in the subject of your
message as it will be ignored.
Please turn off HTML in your mailer.
It confuses Majordomo and is not acceptable on the mailing lists.
For example, UNIX users may type the following:
echo 'subscribe austin-928' | mail majordomo@wolfeden.org
To subscribe with a different address than you are sending from, use the
command subscribe austin-928
youraddress@somewhere.com in the body of your
subscription request.
Majordomo will mail a confirmation message to your subscribed address
with instructions on how to confirm your subscription.
You may also get information about a list by sending the command
info austin-928.
Command Summary
Text in angle brackets (<>) should be replaced with the
approriate text.
Text in brackets ([]) is optional.
Do not include either brackets in the actual command.
Command strings go in the body of your message.
Messages should be addressed to
majordomo@wolfeden.org.

List Owners
You can reach the list administrator by prepending `owner-' to the
list name.
E.g. `owner-austin-928' or `owner-austin-928'.
Mail to this address goes to the list admin., not the
list itself.
Please Note: Troubles with Unsubscribe
Some people have trouble unsubscribing themselves from mailing lists
from time to time.
This is almost always related to the address through which you are
subscribed not being the same as the one from which you are attempting
to unsubscribe.
It is likely that your mail is being forwarded from an old address (or
at least a different address) to the address you are currently
using and thus the software is unable to corrently identify you.
This is where the which and who commands become
useful.
Please take a moment and check to make sure of which of your addresses
is subscribed before complaining to the list owner.
