Wagon Visits My Old Corvair!
I was pleased to hear back from the fellow to whom I sold the old Corvair back in 2022. He moved back from California to Austin and, true to his promised, contacted me first when he decided to sell it. It was great to see the old car again and I was _sorely_ tempted to buy it back. But what was I going to do with yet again still more cars I couldn't store? While some progress was made on the vapor lock situation, it still wasn't solved. And none of the cosmetic and rust issues had been attended. So, I offered him what I sold it for back in 2016 thinking maybe I could pick up a good deal and put off the decision. He was fortunate to find someone in one of the Texas Corvair clubs to offer him a price he could live with and it seems to have gone to a good home. Hopefully it worked best for all of us, but I still harbor a what-if. That is such a good looking little car.
Wagon Meets First Generation Sedan
I saw this first generation (1961-1965) Chevy II sedan when I was driving the wagon one night. I never got to meet the owner — you might notice the late hour and the auto shop in the background of one of the photos. I love the interior and exterior color and it's in great cosmetic condition.
